I am a servant of Jesus, and blessed to be a Momma. Raised in Kentucky; my brother and I were feral children, spending every spare moment of our childhood outside. The wilderness is woven into me, it's part of who I am and to this day the forest restores me, I go there often. Hiking and camping are at the top of the list of my families favorite things to do. I love to sing and play guitar well enough to suit myself. I enjoy vegetable gardening, cooking for my family, hunting, sewing, and seeing places I've never seen before.

I've always been what one would consider to be a creative person. I began woodworking in 2018 with a toddler bed for my son out of barnwood and 2x4s. Next, I built a big barn quilt for my shop... and the rest, as they say, was history!

Speaking of history, I'm a huge fan. I love exploring historical places, people and things. There is so much to be learned from the slower, simpler time that came before us. The wood used in my art I salvage from lots of different sources... old barns, homes, fences, the local sawmill and industries, etc. Reclaiming wood that would otherwise be discarded, also conserves our forests.

As for my patterns, they are often inspired by nature, textiles, or sometimes I let the material itself guide me. Pieces are named after people, places and things that have special meaning to me.

Every piece of wood had a life before it was transformed into a piece of art, a story to tell, a story that is now intertwined with that of the home it hangs in. What an honor and a blessing it is to me as an artist, a history buff, and a lover and respecter of nature; to have found a way to combine so many things I value into my work.

After investing years into this endeavor, I can honestly say that blood, sweat and tears have gone into the pieces I've made, and the lessons learned. I look forward to the ever-evolving journey ahead.
